Installation of Officers Done at July 12 Ceremony

Brother Glynn Hebert has been installed as Worthy Grand Knight of Council 5013 for 2008-09.  The ceremony took place at the K.C. home in Chauvin on Saturday, July 12, with a little more than a dozen new officers being presented in front of family and friends.  Outgoing Grand Knight Eugene Soudelier thanked everyone who helped him and worked to improve our community and our council during his three years as Grand Knight.

Brother Delton Perrodin was named K.C. 5013 "Knight of the Year" for 2007-08.  Brother and Mrs. Donald Adams received the honor of being named our council's "Family of the Year".  The Adams' son, Keith, is an active member of our council; and their daughter, Lisa, is the wife of Brother Knight Irby Bergeron.

A big THANK YOU to all of the folks who came out for our May and June Rummage Sales at the K.C. home.  We thank everyone who donated items and all who attended and purchased items.  We truly appreciate the overwhelming support of our community, and we hope to see you all again next time around!

This page is dedicated to the memory of Easton Joseph Pellegrin (1913-92), a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin and founding Grand Knight of K.C. Council 5013.  Brother Easton was a Fourth Degree K.C. who received the Medal of St. Louis from Archbishop Philip Hannan of New Orleans.  He was a well-respected and wonderful man with a heart as big as any other.  He is greatly missed by his children, family and friends.
