Council Welcomes Back Grand Knights, Celebrates 50 Years! St. Joseph Council 5013 honored all past Grand Knights as part of our council's 50th anniversary during the annual installation of officers supper at the K.C. home on Saturday, July 10. In a newsletter sent to Brother Knights this month, new Area Coordinator Curtis Constantiche noted, "We are the second oldest council in Terrebonne Parish." A fact that was repeated during the evening which included an appearance by our oldest living past Grand Knight, Will Theriot, our Council's third Grand Knight (1965-66) who now resides in Bourg with his wife, Beverly. Brothers Curtis, Will and 26 other past Grand Knights, living and deceased, were honored for leading our council over the last half century. Brother Donald Tivet was installed as incoming Grand Knight for 2010-11, replacing Glynn Hebert who led our council for the past two years. At our last State Convention, Brother Donald was elected to be a delegate to the International Supreme Convention in August. |
